I was inspired to design an advertising media kit web design concept for a dummy publishing company, named Honolulu Publications, purely just for fun. This company prints various newspapers and magazines and sells various placements in those publications for advertisements. One of its main challenges involve advertisement sales. Due to its wide variety of services and ad formats offered, it can be cumbersome for potential clients to sift through and difficult for the sales staff to sell.
My goal for this concept is to streamline the company’s process of pitching to prospective clients. I do this by better showcasing its publications and services through the use of attractive icons so that clients know clearly what is being offered. I also displayed the main publications that clients can advertise on in the form of a carousel with a link to see even more publications. This will also make it easier for staff to sell, knowing at a glance what can be sold and where it will be displayed. To encourage interaction, I included a modal pop-up form that can take basic text input and generate a simple spec ad so the client can get a visual idea of what their ad might look like.
I utilized the brand’s blue theme to draw attention to statistics and company milestones.
